Hands on, flame free
Trainees handle a real extinguisher and feel genuine heat, with none of the hazard, permits or consumables of live-fire training.
Real extinguisher, real heat
The Fire Trainer brings together what virtual reality does best — immersive scenario training and detailed data — and keeps the two things VR cannot reproduce: the weight of the extinguisher in your hands and the sensation of heat.
It is a mobile setup that installs at your base in 10 m². Hand tracking means no controllers, so trainees operate a real extinguisher with their hands. There is no open flame, yet trainees still see and feel the fire in front of them.
It supports mandatory onboarding and recurrent fire training across multiple scenarios and aircraft types.
Trainees handle a real extinguisher and feel genuine heat, with none of the hazard, permits or consumables of live-fire training.
Supports all aircraft types and special scenarios, including dense smoke, so crew rehearse the situation rather than a generic fire.
Each step follows the real emergency procedure, so what crew practise is exactly what they are expected to do in service.
VR delivers the repetitive instruction and correction, freeing instructors for the moments that need a human.
All training data is captured for detailed statistics and per-trainee performance reports.
Smoke and noise can be layered on to raise the pressure once the basic procedure is secure.
What ships
We recommend adding a large LCD screen so waiting trainees can watch the session. Software updates are deployed by AirVR to the headsets.
